In late 2025 Brian released ‘Tasks’, his first solo album for ten years. It’s a collection sourced mostly from the English tradition, with a couple of contemporary songs, two from Appalachia, and some melodeon tunes. The striking cover is a lino cut by Laura Smyth. ‘Tasks’ is available via Brian’s Bandcamp page.
Brian also has a back catalogue stretching back to 1996, with ten albums currently available for online purchase as digital downloads, and several titles available as physical CDs. These range from recordings showcasing the broad spectrum of his repertoire – a mix of songs and squeezebox music – to special projects focussed on the Anglo-concertina (‘Anglophilia’), the Child Ballads (‘Songs of Trial and Triumph’), and Appalachian songs and music collected by Cecil Sharp (‘Sharp’s Appalachian Harvest’).
